looklogue is an independent service based in Switzerland and collects as little as it can get away with. There is no advertising, no tracking across other sites, and nothing is sold to anyone. Visitor statistics are only collected if you agree to them. This page says exactly what is stored, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.

Who is responsible

Lucas Gatsas, c/o JL Consulting Group GmbH #673, Zürcherstrasse 84, 8852 Altendorf, Switzerland — info@looklogue.com.

Swiss data protection law (revFADP) applies. If you are in the EU or the UK, the GDPR applies to you as well and the rights below are yours either way.

What is stored

DataWhy
Your name and email address To create the account, sign you in, and reach you about the service.
Your password, hashed Stored one-way with PHP's password_hash. The plain password is never saved and cannot be recovered.
The video links you submit, and the looks the AI returns They are your results — the point of the service.
Your handle, profile photo and articles, if you create them Only these are public, and only once you publish them yourself.
How many analyses and articles you used this month To enforce the limits of your plan.
Subscription status and your Stripe customer ID Only on a paid plan, so the right plan is unlocked.

No card details ever reach looklogue. Payment data goes straight to Stripe.

Who else processes it

  • Google (Gemini API) — the video link you submit is sent to Google's AI so it can watch the video and describe the outfits. Your name, email and account are not sent. Servers may be outside Switzerland and the EU.
  • Stripe — only if you take a paid plan. Stripe receives your email and payment details and handles the transaction. Stripe is in Ireland and the USA.
  • SiteGround — hosts the website and the database, on servers in Europe. Their web server keeps access logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for security reasons.
  • Google Analytics — visitor statistics, and only if you agreed to it in the notice at the bottom of the page. Google receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you opened. Servers in the USA. Say no and nothing is loaded.
  • YouTube — video thumbnails are loaded directly from Google's servers when a page shows them, and every look card plays a short muted clip of the video in YouTube's own embedded player. Both mean your IP address, your browser details and the address of the page you are on reach Google at that moment. We use the youtube-nocookie.com player, which stores nothing on your device unless you click the video. Turn on your browser's data saver, or its “reduce motion” setting, and the clips do not load at all.

Transfers outside Switzerland and the EU are covered by the standard contractual clauses of the providers concerned. There is nothing else: no advertising networks, no social media pixels, no third-party fonts.

Cookies and measurement

looklogue sets one cookie without asking, and only the strictly necessary kind: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It disappears when you sign out. Your light/dark preference is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent anywhere.

Beyond that we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It is not loaded unless you agree: the notice at the bottom of the page asks first, and nothing is measured until you choose “Accept”. Choose “Reject” and no analytics script is loaded at all — not a blocked one, none. Your answer is remembered in your browser so you are not asked twice; clear your site data to be asked again.

If you accept, Google receives your IP address, your browser and device details, and which pages you opened. Google is in the USA. We see visitor counts and page statistics, never individual people by name.

How long it is kept

Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete the account in Settings and everything goes with it immediately — analyses, looks, saved looks, articles and your profile photo. There is no waiting period and no archive copy.

Two things survive, and both have to: records Stripe is legally required to keep for accounting, and server log lines that may contain an IP address until the host rotates them.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to:

  • see what is stored about you
  • correct anything wrong — most of it you can edit yourself in Settings
  • delete everything — the button is in Settings, or write and it will be done
  • receive your data in a machine-readable file
  • object to a particular use of your data

Write to info@looklogue.com. You will get an answer within 30 days, and it costs nothing. If you are unhappy with the answer you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to the supervisory authority of your country if you are in the EU.

Security

The whole site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, forms are protected against cross-site request forgery, and database queries are parameterised. No system is perfect, but nothing sensitive is stored that does not need to be.

Children

looklogue is not meant for children under 16. If an account of a child has been created, write and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, you will be told by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
